More than 20 years of experience has finally resulted in Bestgrip expanding its offer with a line of mega studs, which are specifically designed for heavy vehicles operating in mines and quarries.
These types of vehicles usually are equipped with chains to minimise the risk of slipping on both gravel and icy terrain. However, chains are an expensive and impractical solution, being difficult to fit and very bulky. In addition, chains can damage the tyres and transmission of vehicles.
Using Bestgrip studs on work vehicles is an effective and efficient solution with considerable advantages, whether the ground is naturally slippery; or snowy or icy. Bestgrip Mega Stud has been designed to be used to work in extreme conditions and on heavy-weight vehicles. The studs are the largest ever made, the body of the studs is made in steel which is case-hardened and quenched. The large tip is made in tungsten and is braze-welded to the body so that it can better resist wearing.
With their size, they can be installed on vehicles up to a maximum weight of 900qt, assuring excellent road grip and safety. By choosing to use Bestgrip products, everything will become easier and more practical.
The installation of the studs is simple. It is not necessary to drill a hole before installing the stud. Once inserted, they are not bulky, for this reason they do not restrict motion.
